Yin yoga is a meditative practice of mostly passive, close-to-the-ground poses, held for 30 seconds to five minutes or more. Gravity acts on the body, gently engaging connective tissue and settling muscle and joint; meanwhile the mind exercises the kindly discipline of stilling. Yin yoga may reveal or release emotional holding, or shine a light on unseen tensions in the body. It’s ideal for runners and cyclists.
Take the series or just one session: each will include practical instruction as well as theory and reflection on the experience.
